Welcome to Ufara Suntalk: a blog discussing ideas and engaging conversations on the topic of energetic particle transport in the heliosphere, shared by a postdoctoral researcher.

What do you expect to hear when you walk into the tearoom of any university’s physics department? You might naively expect to hear discussions on some research topics cluttered with field-related lingo. And yes, you might hear it from time to time. But it is surprising how much physicists talk about politics, sports, and current affairs.

As for the seemingly incomprehensible research discussions around a cup of tea? They are actually comprehensible if you know the lingo and understand some background physics and mathematics. You might then ask, what is one of the hottest research topics currently? Well, that would be Sol, our Sun (pun intended in the previous sentence). This is due to the Parker Solar Probe and Solar Orbiter missions dedicated to studying the Sun.

Fascinating stuff, right? If you want to know more, this blog offers insight into a physicist’s everyday life and mind, as well as interesting topics surrounding energetic particle transport and Space Physics.
